Greek superstar Stefanos Tsitsipas returned to The Boodles where he faced American talent Sebastian Korda on the sun-soaked stadium court. The pair traded blows throughout the first set, which Tsitsipas edged on a tie-break 76(4). Korda fought back to take the second set 64 and take the match to a deciding match tie-break. Tsitsipas raced to a 9-3 lead and despite a fight-back by Korda to 9-7, Tsitsipas claimed the victory 10-7.

The Canadian raced to a 62 lead in the first set and looked to have things wrapped up in two at 5-4 in the second before Djere took three games in a row to claim the second set 75. Auger-Aliassime ensured he didn’t let the match get away from him, playing a strong match tie-break to take the match 62 57 10-2.
